Site Update for the Digital SAT

The Digital SAT Math book is now out! If you're looking to purchase the book, please click here. The book has been completely rewritten to focus on the new format and question types, with even more practice questions than before. Soon, the 1st and 2nd editions will no longer be sold on Amazon.

With the arrival of the Digital SAT, much of this site is now outdated. I'll be gradually updating this site over time to cover the new format, starting with the following:

  • The resources page
  • The score calculators and curves

For those of you asking about a new SAT Writing book for the Digital SAT, it won't be out until 2025. For those of you taking the test before then, I highly recommend using the current 2nd edition—the book still manages to cover most of what you need to know for the writing/grammar questions on the Digital SAT. In fact, you can skip chapters 2, 5, 10 to 13, 18, and 20 and above. The only topic that isn't covered in the book is questions/question mark punctuation, which I hope to cover in a blog post here. Don't worry that the practice questions are in the older format. They're just as effective at teaching the concepts and preparing you for the wide variety of grammar questions you'll see on the Digital SAT.

The 10 Practice Tests for the SAT Math book also needs to be updated for the Digital SAT. In the meantime, it can be used as a question bank rather than a set of timed tests. You can skip any questions involving complex numbers (i.e. imaginary numbers) or polynomial division. All the other questions are great practice. Yes, the two-part questions are outdated, but the underlying concepts being tested are the same.

Lastly, the email newsletter needs a refresh. If you subscribe to the newsletter now, you'll get the older (but still useful) emails. Stay subscribed for the new ones.
